Coming home from the hospital is easier with a caregiver there.

Non-medical help with meals, bathing, moving around safely and follow-up appointments in the weeks after a hospital stay.

The first weeks at home are when extra help matters most.

After surgery, an illness or a fall, many older adults come home weaker than before. Simple things like getting to the bathroom, making a meal or getting to a follow-up appointment can be hard during recovery. A caregiver at home during these weeks makes recovery safer and less stressful for an elderly parent.

A Rolocare caregiver helps with those everyday tasks while your loved one recovers. This is non-medical help. If the doctor orders nursing or therapy at home, that comes from a home health agency, and our caregivers can work alongside them.

Help after a hospital stay can include any of these tasks.

You choose only the tasks your loved one needs. We put them in a written care plan during your free home assessment.

  • Help walking and moving around
  • Help preventing falls
  • Bathing and showering
  • Meal planning and cooking
  • Medication reminders
  • Rides to appointments
  • Light housekeeping
  • Up to 24-hour care

Rolocare provides non-medical care only. Our caregivers do not provide nursing care, give or administer medication, or do wound care.

Families often arrange help in these situations.

After surgery, such as a hip or knee replacement.

A caregiver helps with bathing, dressing and getting around safely while your loved one regains strength.

After a fall.

Extra help with walking and around the home lowers the chance of another fall during recovery.

After an illness.

Meals, reminders to drink water and help with daily tasks support a steady recovery.

We provide help after a hospital stay across Southern California.

Families often ask us these questions.

Is this the same as home health?

No. Home health is skilled medical care, such as nursing or physical therapy, ordered by a doctor. Rolocare provides non-medical help with daily living, which can be used alongside home health.

Can care be short term?

Yes. Many families arrange care for the recovery period and then reduce or stop the hours. You can change the schedule any time.

Does Medicare pay for this?

Rolocare works with private pay clients only, which means the client or family pays for care directly.
